The Avett Brothers have extended their upcoming North American tour in support of their self-titled album produced by Rubin and slated for release on May 17th via Ramseur Records/American Recordings/Thirty Tigers. The band has added new dates, including three nights at Red Rocks Amphitheater with Luke Combs and additional Midwest and Southern visits, to their previously planned tour schedule.
The group will have Houndmouth's support when they begin their new tour leg on September 12 at Indianapolis' Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Avett Brothers will have Melissa Etheridge back on stage the next night, September 13, when they visit FirstBank Amp in Franklin, Tennessee. Notably, the group will play sets full of songs from The Avett Brothers, which is their first new album in five years, during each concert.
After that, the group will play a number of Southern cities, including Georgia, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. The folk-rock-leaning performers will play two nights at Whitewater Amp in New Braunfels, Texas, while they're in the Lone Star State. Following a short vacation, they'll hit the road again and add a performance in San Diego, California, on October 6.
Before they head back to Texas, the Avett Brothers will make a stop in Phoenix. The next scheduled concert is October 24 at St. Paul, Minnesota's Xcel Center, where they will be joined by Trampled By Turtles, a local band. Before their debut performance at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans in November, there will be late-October concerts in Illinois and Kentucky.
The band will continue to play in the Sunshine State for a final run of performances in three different towns after taking part in their destination concert series, Moon Crush "Avett Moon" in Miramar Beach, Florida. The band has announced new tour dates in support of their upcoming studio album, which was recorded in a number of desirable locations, including Nashville, Tennessee, and Concord, North Carolina, as well as Rubin's renowned Shangri-La Studio in Malibu, California.
