You might have once heard of Yuridia Valenzuela Canseco, more commonly known as the Mexican singer Yuri. She's THE legendary musical pop star and queen of Latin music since the 80s. Her influence in Mexico and in the Latin charts is unbelievable and timeless. Her career is heavily anchored to her performances as a distinguished pop singer and talented actress. She has been setting the standard as one of the most successful and influential multi-media performers in the country. Her decades of success can only be described as an inspiring tribute to Latin music. She is the golden era of Ranchera and Latin pop. With a trail of success behind her footsteps, nothing is stopping the artist from more exciting projects and news!

Yuri is still keeping it up with the youngsters as she herself is a spitting image of how beautifully Latin music has grown over the years. Her rise to fame is a journey truly worth reliving, from her trendy teen spirit on the hit album "Esperanzas" and her feature as a brand-new television actress on the 1980 telenovela remake of "Colorina." Since then, it has been hard-earned work for the artist to establish herself in the industry. Her work on the 1997 film "Selena" skyrocketed her horizons from chart-topping teen-pop star to memorable and professional actress on the big screen.

Her undeniable multi-media appeal in the industry truly sets her apart. But Yuri expresses her passion for music in a recent interview celebrating her 45-year reign in the business. She states, "I like to do everything. I am a woman who is complete, it is a gift that God gave me, because I like to drive, do reality shows, be a judge…. but I have to give time to my career because my thing is to sing."

She has released a total of 29 studio albums and has sold more than 35 million copies worldwide. She is the youngest recipient of the Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 and a Grammy nominee for the song "Yo Te Pido Amor."

Mark your calendars for her exciting "Euforia Tour" this 2024. She'll be at the world-class Texas Trust CU Theatre this May 10th. Save the date and witness the Queen of Latin Music claim her birthright once more!
