The Isley Brothers are best known for their 1959 breakout hit “Shout.” Selling millions of records around the globe, these boys are crowned living legends today. In a classic interview from The Guardian’s vaults, “Our music is about so much more now,” Ernie said in 1976. “We’ve got a lot more to say musically and lyrically,” explaining how they aren’t simply jumping and shouting “wooo” all the time anymore.
