CLASSIC ROCK FANS! The Texas Classic Rock Revival show makes its way to the Texas Trust CU theater at Grand Prairie on Thursday, September 24th, 2026. The Grand Funk Railroad, The Marshall Tucker Band and BlackHawk tour will be playing all of their hit songs in this sick night of classic and rock-out vibes. It's a unique opportunity for fans of all three acts to see them in a unique setting with a huge crowd all singing along and getting lost in the vibes.

Grand Funk Railroad

Grand Funk Railroad are headlining the Texas Classic Rock Revival show. The American rock group, formed in Flint, Michigan in 1969, and made up of Mark Farner (guitar and vocals), Don Brewer (drums and vocals) and Mel Schacher (bass), play in a hard and arena style rock. The band went on to release a string of hit albums such as Grand Funk, Closer to Home, Live and the 2 CD set Other, as well as 19 singles, of which 8 reached the Top 40 and 2 reached number 1.

In 2026 they are back on a touring schedule, and putting out great live shows, and playing all of their famous songs such as Some Kind of Wonderful, The Loco-Motion, Bad Time, Walk Like a Man and Inside Looking Out. Grand Funk has had 19 charted singles with 8 of them reaching the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band achieved 2 number one singles on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. The band has earned 7 Gold Awards, 10 Platinum Awards and have been certified by the RIAA for sales of over 25 million albums worldwide.

Grand Funk’s popularity and success can be attributed to their grueling touring schedule in the early 1970s and the massive amount of on stage energy that they put into every performance, truly a rock ‘n’ roll band. 

The Marshall Tucker Band

The Marshall Tucker Band The Marshall Tucker Band brings the South to the Classic Rock Revival with a blend of Rock, Country and Jazz that brings to life some of the most celebrated songs in Rock History. With the current lineup made up of Doug Gray, Marcus James Henderson, Chris Hicks, Rick Willis, Ryan Ware, Leroy Wilson, and Chris Anderson, the band has been keeping their legacy alive — one that's stuck around since their rapid rise in the 70s with hits like "Long Hard Ride," "Carolina Dreams," "Searchin' for a Rainbow," and more.

BlackHawk

BlackHawk plays the country rock songs that will be a perfect addition to the other genres of music to be played at this show. BlackHawk brings a multi-faceted celebration of American music. These country rockers are made up of founding members Henry Paul & Dave Robbins, plus Randy Threet and a backing band. With double-platinum records to their name, they dominated the country scene in the 90s with hits like "Every Once in a While," "Almost a Memory Now," "'m Not Strong Enough to Say No," and more.
