Life is all about rhythm, energy, and those moments that stop us right in our tracks - about the moments that keep us on our toes and make us say, WOW - I was THERE! And Riverdance 30: The New Generation is serving ALL of that and then some. As they close out their Grand Prairie run in style, we GOTTA show out for them one last time here at the CU where the crowds have been oh so pretty - don’t you agree?! This Sunday, June 14th, the Texas Trust CU Theatre is getting one last chance to feel the thunder and precision of THE most iconic dance productions in the world - and trust us when we say folks: this the kind of Sunday plan you cancel everything else for. As part of their massive 2026 U.S. Tour, the Riverdance crew is touching down in Grand Prairie with their legendary Irish step dancing and traveling coast to coast all summer: from Florida to Georgia, New York City and Miami energy and beyond - but something about the Texas crowd just hits different. And if you missed Friday or Saturday, this Sunday show is your moment. Because once they’re gone, they are GONE y’all! For real this time!
For over 30 years the Riverdance crew has set the gold standard in Irish step dancing. Growing from humble beginnings into a full-blown international movement rooted in culture, heritage, and rhythm that all started out on a whim. It all started back in 1994 as a standalone performance by Michael Flatley and Jean Butler during the Eurovision Song Contest, and kind of blew up from there into something the team couldn’t believe. They didn’t take home the trophy that night, but they absolutely captured the world’s attention - and that’s all that mattered. From there, the momentum never stopped - performances exploded across the globe, the cast grew, and Riverdance became the phenomenon we know today. Now, Riverdance 30: The New Generation is exactly what it sounds like: a celebration of three decades of history, powered by the next wave of ridiculously talented dancers : AKA performers who were born long after Riverdance first hit the stage. It’s tradition meeting modern flair, with live musicians driving every beat, next-level lighting and projection creating pure visual magic, and dancers moving in flawless, heart-pounding sync. This is why we show up. This is why we go live. And THIS is why we need you right here with us when it all goes down.
Convinced yet?! Ready to make your Sunday legendary?! Perfect. Great. Amazing - we’re right there with ya! Grab those tickets, round up your people, and come help us close out the weekend the right way. One last Riverdance, right here at the CU - let’s make it bounce y’all!
