The legend Jerry Seinfeld comes to the Texas Trust CU Theatre on Saturday, May 30th. Did you need a date night idea to end the month of May? You're welcome anyway. This is a brand new set from Jerry Seinfeld, and his tours over the last few years haven't had many stops! That's actually good news because there's a good chance you haven't heard these Jerry Seinfeld rants before.
It's incredible what Jerry has been able to do throughout his career. As a member of the audience, you know coming in, this is a clean show that's going to be highlighted by Jerry's squeaky voice and some of the best punch lines ever written. That's been the framework for Jerry Seinfeld's comedy for decades, and it's gotten fans to laugh out loud on every stop. Jerry Seinfeld's still doing comedy despite being the richest comedian of all time. What's up with that? Could you imagine how large the checks in the mail from Seinfeld reruns are? One of the coolest things about Seinfeld is that he's seemingly still the same "character" that he played on the show. It helps when you're playing yourself, but he has never truly deviated from the clean comedy sets. We all know Kramer can't say the same thing. When you set foot inside the Texas Trust CU Theatre, you know coming in that it's a good night of fun with potentially the best comedian of all time grabbing the mic.
We've talked about Jerry's overall clean look, but he's gotten a lot more political as of late. Current events are also thrusting him into a spotlight that was mostly foreign to him throughout most of his career. This might be the best time ever to see Jerry Seinfeld live. Morbid as the reason may be, there might be more tension in the air, and it's going to be interesting to see how Jerry's current set navigates these waters. You're going to have fun, but in the back of your mind, you might be thinking this might be the night Jerry breaks character.
Some people are going to want to be close to the action. That's especially the case if you're looking to heckle Jerry a bit. Just know he's got the mic; it's never a good idea to be the loudmouth at these comedy shows, but in any case, there are some great seats near the stage. You could also have impeccable views of the action from some of the front rows on the different levels here. Those are great seats for a comedy show because you have access to a little extra legroom, which is always welcome.
