Korean girl group (G)I-dle debuted under Cube Entertainment in 2018 and has consistently belted out several iconic singles since. The group comprises Jeon So Yeon, Cho Mi Yeon, Kim Min Hee, Song Woo Gi, Yoo Su Hwa, and Seo Su Jin, who debuted with the single “Latata.” The song made a breakthrough on the Korean chart, peaking at number 12. It also entered the U.S. World Digital Song sales, debuting at number 4. The song is featured in the group’s debut EP, I Am. Released in 2018, I Am is composed of various genres and showcased the girl’s musical flexibility.

After the phenomenal success of their debut EP, (G)I-dle released five more critically-acclaimed EPs. Three of these mini-albums topped the Korean charts, while all entered the Top 10 of Billboard’s World Albums chart. Earlier in the year, the girls dropped their latest EP, I Feel, which topped the Korean and U.S. World charts. The effort, which spawned the phenomenal hits “Queencard” and “Allergy,” became (G)I-dle’s best-selling effort in Korean after it sold over one million copies. Meanwhile, the 2023 EP’s predecessor, I Love, is second to I Feel in terms of sales after selling over 800,000 copies in Korea.

Last year, (G)I-dle dropped their debut studio album, I Never Die. The record, distributed via Kakao, peaked at number 2 on the Korean chart and number 13 in the U.S. The album is most notable for spawning the group’s megahit, “Tomboy.” The single, released in 2022, is the girls’ first song to reach number 1 in Korea. It’s also(G)I-dle’s first single to earn platinum status in their home country.

The group has earned numerous accolades throughout their five-year career, including nominations at the APAN Music Awards, three Melon Music Awards, an Asia Model Festival Award, three Asian Pop Music Awards, five Golden Disc Awards, and many more. (G)I-dle also rose to prominence in Japan with their Japanese EPs. Hence, the group also earned a Japan Gold Disc Award in 2020. The girls also earned several U.S. and European nominations from MTV Video Music Awards, an MTV Europe Music Awards, and the MTV Millenial Awards.
