Werq the World Tour brings in a series of amazing shows this 2023! As the official tour of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the shows will feature the most fabulous drag queens to ever grace the famed reality competition series. Launched in 2017, the tour was created by promoter Brandom Voss in collaboration with RuPaul’s Drag Race season 1 star, Shangela. The large-scale shows are equipped with larger-than-life LED screens, providing audiences with a spectacular concert-like experience.

Werq the World first debuted in 2017 with two shows in Toronto and Montreal, Canada. Season 6 winner and highly-acclaimed stand-up comedian Bianca Del Rio served as the host for the performances. The same year, Werq the World traveled to Europe and conquered 13 cities. This time, RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage and season 1 contestant Shangela joined Bianca Del Rio in hosting the European leg. The tour continued to do multiple shows in North America and a few more in Europe and Latin America. By 2019, Werq the World has made its way to Australia and Asia.

The ongoing outing was halted in 2021 due to the pandemic, but the following year, Werq the World made its phenomenal return with multiple dates in Europe. This 2023, the new production of Werq the World is set to take over the globe. The trek kicks off in the U.S. this summer and will cover over 40 cities. The brand-new show will feature a dystopian future where the stars must choose between the real world or the artificial world they live in. This brand-new sci-fi-themed production will feature incredible visuals set to light up major arenas and venues.

Voss Events shared in a statement that this year’s production will be a bigger and grander event. “We’ve really elevated the show this year with a cohesive storyline that weaves theatre into large-scale concert-style performance. It’s a multimillion-dollar production that rivals the largest pop stars in the world. Werq the World Tour is the official RuPaul’s Drag Race tour for a reason. It is the biggest, most spectacular drag show on the planet. The music, sets, fashion, choreography, and lighting in this production are like nothing fans of drag have ever seen before.”
