Riverdance comes to Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie on Saturday 6th June 2020 with its New 25th Anniversary Show! The beloved global touring theatre show was a smash hit sensation in the 1990s with its Grammy Award-winning Irish music and celebration of both Irish and international dance! Now, the show has been reimagined for a new era, with a new take on the stunning and exciting lighting, projection, stage and costume designs that has made it such a draw for the past quarter of a century!
Originating as an interval performance act during the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, Riverdance is a touring theatre show that celebrates the music and dance of Ireland. Coming to fame via the talents of Irish dancing champions Jean Butler and Michael Flatley, vocal ensemble Anúna, and husband and wife production team John McColgan and Moya Doherty, Riverdance has since visited over 450 venues worldwide and been seen by over 25 million people, making it one of the most successful dance productions in the world. In the 25 years since its inception, Riverdance has become a global phenomenon that continues to be performed in different iterations in theatres around the world, and is constantly growing and innovating, whilst remaining true to its original spirit.
