Since 2002, Lost 80s Live has been putting remarkable acts together for a concert series across the U.S. The shows have featured countless bands that made waves during the 80s. This fantastic era was a great period for burgeoning artists, spawning the British new wave movement. Therefore, organizers have figured out a way to celebrate the decade and its music through a much-awaited annual concert series.

Formerly a trio, Wang Chung is now a duo comprising original members Nick Feldman and Jack Guest. The band has made waves across the charts for a decade since their emergence in 1980. In 1997, the band rose from their seven-year hiatus to deliver more incredible new wave staples. In 1982 Wang Chang dropped their debut effort Huang Chung via Arista Records. Although the effort received rave reviews from critics, it wasn’t until 1984 that the band made their phenomenal breakthrough. The sophomore effort Points on the Curve entered the U.K. charts at number 34. Over in the U.S., the album peaked at number 30 on the Billboard 200. The album spawned several hits, including “Dance Hall Days,” “Don’t Let Go,” and “Don’t Be My Enemy.” The album was primarily written by Hues, with Feldman contributing to “True Love” and “The Waves.” Two years later, the band released their career-defining effort, Mosaic, which spawned “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” and “Let’s Go!” 1997 the album was certified gold after reaching over 500,000 copies sold.

After a long hiatus, General Public will make a rare appearance in Lost 80’s Live. During their prime, the English band has released several new wave staples, such as “Tenderness,” “I’ll Take You There,” “Never Done That,” and more. In 2002, the band released their highly-awaited compilation album, Classic Masters. This record contains all the hits and fan favorites from their three studio efforts, All the Rage, Hand to Mouth, and Rub It Better.

For the show in Texas Trus CU Theatre, Wang Chung and the General Public will be joined by The Tubes, Animotion, Naked Eyes, Musical Youth, Stacey Q, Shannon, Kon Kan, Trans X, Genre Loves Jezebel, Gary Myrick & The Figures, Josie Cotton, and The Untouchables!
