Military veteran Gary Owen emerged in the comedy world in 1997. Dubbed the “Funniest Serviceman in America,” Owen made his first breakthrough when he appeared in BET’s Comic View, where he won a one-hour grandstand show. Owen is currently the only Caucasian comedian featured in Comic View, thanks to his large African-American following. He later starred in his BET comedy special, the Gary Owens Show. After his phenomenal breakthrough, Owen was featured in numerous comedy festivals, including Martin Lawrence Presents: 1st Amendment Stand Up and Shaquille O’Neal’s All-Star Comedy Jam.
Mike Epps is a comedian, actor, and rapper. Epps has been featured in Def Comedy Jam and Nick Cannon’s Wild ‘N Out. He’s generally known for his roles in Next Friday, Hangover, and Resident Evil, among others. Epps also lent his distinctly comedic voice to animated films, such as Open Season and Dr. Dolittle 2. Some of Epps’ recent comedy projects include Netflix, Specials Only Mike in 2019, and Indiana Mike in 2022.
Comedian and actress Luenelle emerged in the early ‘90s. She has appeared in the films School Dance. A Star is Born, Coming 2 America, and more. In 2017, Luenelle scored a recurring role in George Lopez’s sitcom titled Lopez.
Internet personality and Wild N’ Out star DC Young Fly joins this phenomenal lineup at the Texas Trust CU Theatre. He is known for his lively act and roasting celebrities and fellow comedians. DC Young Fly has opened for Chris Brown, hosted the 2019 BET Social Awards, and starred in BET projects The Quad, Tales, and New Edition Story. DC Young Fly has also starred in the popular podcast 85 South Show and films, such as Nick Cannon’s She Ball and Master P’s Hook Up 2.
