CNCO is a Miami-based boy group comprising Richard Camacho, Erick Brian Colon, Christopher Velez, and Zabdial De Jesus. The group rose to prominence after winning the first season of La Banda, a Spanish-speaking competition series created by Simon Cowell and Latin music superstar Ricky Martin. After winning the competition, the boys went on tour with Ricky Martin. Then their career took off from there.
In 2016, CNCO released their debut single, “Tan Facil.” The song peaked at number 5 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs and number 2 on the Latin Pop Airplay chart. It later earned triple platinum status in the U.S., platinum in Mexico, and gold in Spain. The song was featured in CNCO’s debut album, Primera Cita, which topped Billboard’s Latin chart and peaked at number 39 on the Billboard 200. The record spawned two more multi-platinum-selling singles, “Quisiera” and “Reggaeton Lento (Bailemos).”
In 2018, the boyband’s self-titled sophomore effort also topped Billboard’s Latin chart. The platinum-selling album featured the band’s megahit, “Hey DJ,” certified 7x platinum in the U.S. and Diamond in Mexico. The album was also preceded by CNCO’s collaboration single with Little Mix, titled “Reggaeton Lento (Remix).” The song earned multi-platinum certifications in five countries, including the U.K.
Last year, the boy band confirmed their break up so they could focus on their solo music. That’s why the chart-topping boyband will embark on their last hurrah before saying farewell to their fans as a group.
If you want to see CNCO before they break up, this is your chance! Score tickets now to their much-awaited show at the Texas Trust CU Theatre!
